DAhLIA BAASHER
Sudanese contemporary fine art exploring heritage, memory, and collective belonging.
the intricacy of human nature is rooted in our need for emotional connection and social interaction, which is deceptively simple.

THE ARTIST
A Sudanese socio-political artist based in Toronto, whose practice explores immigration, identity, race, displacement and belonging through painting. Grounded in lived experience and critical observations; the work brings together figurative imagery, symbolism, and layered narratives to examine the complexities of individual and collective experience. Through this practice, the artist creates space for stories, histories, and perspectives that are often silenced or overlooked.
